Danela, St Joseph triumph

Danela Sports Club Navelim-Margao and St Joseph Sports Club Shiroda won the State level boys and girls handball championships respectively

WINNERS: Danela Sports Club Navelim-Margao, 
winners of State level boys handball championship at 
Bicholim.

BICHOLIM: Danela Sports Club Navelim-Margao and St Joseph Sports Club Shiroda won the State level boys and girls handball championships respectively at Shivaji ground, here. It was organised by SAG,  Shantadurga Handball Sports Club Bicholim and Goa Handball Association.

In all, 21 teams participated.

Danela crushed Future Trends Handball Nuvem 15-14 goals. The third prize was bagged by Our Lady of Loudes High School Utorda. Alvento D’Souza was declared best player and Johnson Texira best goalkeeper.

In the girls section, St Joseph defeated Future Trends Handball Club 15-10 goals. The third prize was bagged by S F X High School Siolim. Zara Caroso and Inacina were declared best player and best goalkeeper respectively.
