PANJIM: Sporting Club of Davorlim got the better of St Anthony, Assolda, 6-5 via tie-breaker to advance to the next round of the Nagao Village Panchayat Cup 2014 organized by Pax of Nagoa Sports Club at Nagoa ground, on Wednesday.
The Davorlim lads missed their chance to forge ahead in the 10th minute. Assolda boys were awarded a penalty in the 17th minute and Sucour Fernandes made no mistake, as he gave his side a 1-0 lead in the first half of the game.
In the second half Davorlim boys showed went out in search of an equalizer but poor finishing let them down. In the 57th minute Davorlim found an equalizer through the boots of Paxton Gomes.
