RAIA: Davorlim Sports Club blank Navelim Villagers Union, 2-0, to enter the finals of 13th Wilred Leisure SC Cup, organised by Wilred Leisure SC, Curtorim and played at DSYA ground, on Monday.
In the first session of play Davorlim’s Agnelo Colaco missed to tap the ball in open net in the 24th minutes of the game while Prestly Gomes of Navelim Villagers left footer missed the target by whiskers before half time.
In the second session, Sandroy Costa of Navelim Villagers shoot was punched away by Davorlim keeper Francisco Colaco. The all important goal came from the Royson Colaco of Davorlim with a header of corner taken by Prince Figueredo in the 44th minute. Later, Ajay Raj of Davorlim netted the second goal with solo effort beating defence and goalkeeper in the injury time.
Royson Colaco of Davorlim was presented man-of-match by Rinaldo Costa member of Wilred Leisure.
Davorlim Sports Club will meet Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda in the finals to be played on February 25.
