Varca SC took the lead in the 10th minute when Fatorda goalkeeper Terence Barbosa fouled rival striker Faslinger Fernandes inside the penalty box and the referee had no hesitation to point to the spot. Columban Noronha stepped up and coolly converted from the spot-kick.
DBO responded immediately and levelled the scoring through Hanselm Furtado.
The Fatorda side continued attacking and Hanselm had his brace with a clean strike. Christopher Borges put DBO in the driver’s seat with the third goal but Varca came strongly in the second half.
First, Nigel Pires pulled a goal back to make it 3-2 to give Varca a ray of hope. Their hard work paid off as Quelon Fernandes scored the third goal with a beautiful curling effort from the edge of the box.
In the ensuing tie-breaker, Roque Borges, Francis Andrade, Hanselm Furtado, Dany Dias and Agnelo Baretto scored for DBO while Faslinger Fernandes, Quelon Fernandes, Columban Noronha and Nigel Pires converted for Varca.
