DBO Fatorda advance…

MARGAO: A fine brace by substitute Francis Andrade guided Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda to a 2-0 win over Raia Sporting Club to advance into the semi-finals of all-Goa 32nd Gold Silver Rolling Trophy inter-village football tournament, organized by Navelim Sporting Club, at Sinquetim ground, Navelim, Tuesday.

MARGAO: A fine brace by substitute Francis Andrade guided Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda to a 2-0 win over Raia Sporting Club to advance into the semi-finals of all-Goa 32nd Gold Silver Rolling Trophy inter-village football tournament, organized by Navelim Sporting Club, at Sinquetim ground, Navelim, Tuesday. 
There was no score at the break.
Both the teams started the game on sedate note. Don Bosco Oratory slowly took over the control and called the shots against the rival citadel. They came close in foisting the lead but their forwards wasted from close range.
Raia Sporting Club did not lag behind as they created couple of forays but the rival defenders were tall in frustrating their attacks.
With the introduction of former Salgaocar midfielder Francis Andrade, the complexion of the game change. He played a stellar role in spraying accurate passes to keep his forwards busy.
Don Bosco Oratory broke the deadlock when Francis unleashed a left footer drive to crash into the net. The goal boosted the morale of Don Bosco Oratory to pile tremendous pressure on the rival citadel and Francis doubled the lead when he beat the rival goalkeeper with rasping shot to register his brace.
