CURCHOREM: Dempo Juniors clinched the 10th Patrakar Chashak 2018 T20 cricket cup after defeating Ghumteshwar Warriors by 27 runs organized by Sanvordem Gymkhana Sports and Cultural Association and the Sports Authority of Goa in association with Sanguem-Quepem Patrakar Sangh, at SAG ground, Curchorem, recently.
Dempo scored 190/4 in 20 overs while Warriors were bundled out for 163.
The winners were awarded Rs. 40,000 while the runners-up received Rs. 30,000 along with trophies.
Deepak Pawaskar, MLA of Sanvordem constituency was the Chief Guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Sanvordem panch Sanjay Naik and others.
The individual prizes are as follows: Best bowler Thango Naik of Goa Police, Best batsman Anniket Dessai of Ghumteshwar and Man-of-the-match was awarded to Robin D’Souza.
