SIRSAIM: Dempo Juniors were held to a goalless draw by Sesa Football Academy in the AIFF U-18 Youth Football League (Goa Zone) match, organized by GFA and played at Sirsaim ground, on Thursday.
After today’s drawn encounter Dempo has 8 points from 6 matches. Sesa FA too has 8 points from 6 matches.
In the 10th minute Flyod Pereira strike at the goal was brilliantly saved by Sesa keeper Mohammad. Sesa had one good attempt at the rival goal, wherein a fierce shot from Laifaram Meeti saw Dempo keeper Wassim Sheikh bring a fine save.
In the 70th minute Kidron Fernandes failed to keep his header off Rajat Harijan corner into the Sesa goal.
Minutes later Rajat missed an open sitter off a cross by Eltroy Rodrigues.
In the dying minutes of the match Dempo keeper Wasim pushed a hot blooded shot from Lionel to safety.
