Dempo meet Vasco on Saturday

Dempo will take on Vasco in the GFA Charity Match on August 21 at Tilak Stadium, Vasco at 4.15 p.m.
The match will kick off the 2010-11 season.
The GFA has taken the bold and commendable decision of allowing only two foreign players to be registered who will be able to play in the Pro League so that the local boys are given more chances to prove and improve their talents, Savio Messias, GFA secretary stated.
Meanwhile, the GFA has bid for the qualifying round of Federation Cup involving Sesa Goa, Sporting,Vasco and Malabar (Kerala). Matches may be held in the third week of September either at Duler Stadium (Mapusa) or Tilak (Vasco). It is yet to be allotted by the AIFF.
The U-10 Australian programme is expected to be launched in September with the appointment of an administrative official in the first week of September who will look after the entire organisational work. The programme proper in 13 centres all over Goa could start either in the 2nd or 3rd week of September. It will be open to all children below 10.
