PANJIM: Dempo Sports Club have renewed its partnership with St Britto High School, Mapusa through a memorandum of understanding signed at the Club House in Panjim, on Sunday.
The Panjim based club will support the age group of under-10, 12, 14 and 16 teams of the school by providing them the necessary equipment and technical support. The club have also appointed a permanent coach to impart quality football education among school kids. Also included in the plans are grassroots football festivals to be conducted on the school ground.
Principal of St Britto High School Fr Cedric Fernandes thanked the club for adopting his school teams and promised better performances this year.
“We have been working together for a year now and we are delighted to have another year of collaboration. We are thankful to the club President Shrinivas Dempo for choosing our school as a partner in their grassroots development programme,” he added.
Club President Shrinivas Dempo was also present on the occasion and laid his emphasis on grassroots football saying, “We are proud to renew our commitment to educate and train the school children in football. This year my club is looking forward to build upon what is already a great working relationship with St Britto High School.”
