PANJIM: Clarence Fernandes from Dempo’s Residential Academy is the latest name in what seems to be a fast growing list of young Goan talent from the Academy getting a chance to show his craft with the National team.
Shameek Vaz was the first one to represent India in the U-16 AFC Championship.
Clarence is a young defender who will join the AIFF U-17 with a chance to prove his mettle, The young boy who draws his inspiration from his idol, Sergio Ramos of Real Madrid said , “It was an extremely proud moment for me and my family and I am raring to take the next step in my career.”
Clarence Fernandes will now train with the Indian U-17 squad at Odisha.
