Dignem United move into last eight

VERNA: Dignem MP United beat Dualape 2-1 to move into the quarter-finals of the Verna inter-ward football tournament organized by Verna Veterans, at Verna Panchayat ground, on Saturday. Both the teams had equal ball possession throughout the match.

Dignem striker Savio Fernandes tried to strike the most. Savio Fernandes scored 1-0 for Dignem in the 30th minute but the joy was short lived as within four minutes Hilton Pereira equalized for Dualape making it 1-1.
Savio Fernandes scored his second and the match winner for Dignem in the 40th minute.
