MARGAO: The impasse over the use of bio-metric finger scan readers in the Margao civic body attracted the attention of the Director of Municipal Administration (DMA), Elvis Gomes.
After a visit to the Margao municipal building on Tuesday morning, the DMA has convened a meeting with the representatives of the Goa Municipal Employees Association to find an amicable solution to break the deadlock.
Sources said that the DMA was spotted in the municipal building at around 9.30 am to take stock of the controversy surrounding the use of bio-metric readers. He is believed to have left the municipal building within minutes and later convened a meeting with the employees on Tuesday.
