PANJIM: Salcete giants Rosary College of Commerce and Arts will take on one time Goa University champions Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda in the second quarter-final of inter-collegiate football tournament, The ACF Trophy 2015, organized by Herald Group in association with Syngenta India Pvt Ltd, powered by Goa Football Development Council and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, at SAG ground, Fatorda, on Saturday, at 4.15 p.m.
This match promises to deliver a tough battle between the teams that have a strong defence. Rosary College is known for its consistent performance.
The college from Navelim has the depth in defence, midfield as well as attack. In the first match, Rosary College came from behind to down their opponents via the sudden death, a match in which they showed solid character.
The key to success will lie on their strikers to convert chances that come their way something that they missed in their last match.
Don Bosco College of Engineering had a fairytale debut in their Goa University tournament when they were crowned champions in their very first attempt.
In the first match, the engineering lads maintained their composure to win in a nerve cracking tie-breaker. One of the main concerns for Don Bosco will be to try and create more chances. Something that was clearly lacking in the first match, Don Bosco Engineering will vow to give their best performance in order to make it to their first ever semi-final of this prestigious tournament.
Both the teams have a set of key players on whom they will rely to deliver the goods.
