UTORDA-MAJORDA: Faria Strikers, Cansaulim blanked St Anthony, Assolda 4-1 in the 5-a-side beach football tournament organised by Youth of Majorda, Utorda-Calata and Village Panchayat of Majorda, Utorda-Calata, at Utorda beach.
Faria Strikers dominated the match with their passing skills and adapted well. An assist from Vesvino enabled Paonel to score twice for the Faria Strikers.
The tally was further increased by Umesh and Joseph. Samira reduced the margin for St Anthony, Assolda.
In another closely-contested match, ABC Marina beat Sea Pearl, Velim 3-2. Joywin and Richard (2) scored for the winners while Agnelo Colaco scored twice for Velim.
Meanwhile, Miranda City, Davorlim downed Xmilburn 5, Ambelim 2-1 via the tie-breaker.
In another one-sided match, Baina Boys, Vasco thumped Sharp Shooters, Margao 9-1.
