FATORDA: Ilhas Veterans got the better of Vasco Veterans 4-3 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the Fatorda Veterans football tournament organised by Fatorda Veterans, at DBO ground, Fatorda, on Wednesday.
The full time score remained goalless.
In the tie-breaker, Francisco, Nagesh, Melwin and Govind scored for Ilhas Veterans while Vishant, Uday and Sheikh scored for Vasco.
In another match, Fatorda Veterans got the better of Happy Valentine’s Ponda Veterans 4-2 to move into the quarter-finals.
Fatorda Veterans netted through Nicolau Borges in the seventh minute and 10th minute.
Two minutes later, Francis Andrade made it 3-0 for Fatorda. Remy netted the fourth for Fatorda in the 30th minute.
Ponda netted two quick goals through Anand and Jose in the 35th and 46th minutes respectively to make it 2-4.
