FATORDA: Fatima Convent HS, Margao blanked St. Jude High School, Betalbatim 2-0 in the girls school U-14 football tournament to emerge as Salcete taluka champions, organised by DSYA, at Dramapur ground, recently.
The first-half was a goalless.
In the second half, Fatima Convent HS, Margao kept the attack and they got the first goal after 30th minute where Paloma Pires took a shot from distance and got the deflection off the defender and went into the net.
Soon after that St Jude went all out for the equaliser where Fatima Convent took the advantage of the counter attack and got the second goal in the 38th minute through a great volley by Swellen Fernandes.
