PONDA: Fatroda Fires beat Goa Institute of Management(GIM) by 69/08 in the inaugural match of the All-Goa Basketball Tournament organised by Antruz art and sports Academy in collaboration with SAG at Shree Mahalaxmi English High School, Talaulim, Ponda, on Saturday.
Daley Fernandes and Jyoti Kumar were adjudged as the best players of the match.
In the next match, Vasco Cagers got the better of Wolves, Raia by 38/27 score, Abhinav Wadkar and David Fernandes played well for the respective teams.
In the 3rd match, Lourdes defeated by them by 38-33 score. At full time, both teams were level at 31 all but in extra time, Lourdes overplay Pragati in the exciting match.
The fourth match saw the clash of Don Bosco oratory and Assailants, Panaji, DBO won the match by 36/34 points. Nelrich Dias and Chaavi were declared best players of the match.
The day ended witnessing yet another promising encounter between Host AASA and Lourdes, Saligao by 31/28 points. Jeshua Pinto and Vishal Chand bagged prizes for being the best players.
