VARCA: Fatorda Veterans blanked Navelim Veterans 4-0 to move into the quarter-finals of 2nd All Goa Late Clement Memorial Veterans football tournament, organised by Youth of Fatrade, at Varca football ground, on Monday.
Navelim Veterans’ Aluzio Fernandes missed two early chances to score in the fourth and fifth minutes.
Two minutes later, Vincent Barbosa of Fatorda shot wide.
It was Fatorda’s Jaison Barbosa who opened the score-line in the 24th minute.
In the second half, Vincent Barbosa netted a hat-trick in the 46th, 49th and 54th minutes and made it 4-0 for Fatorda.
