UTORDA: FC Goa got the better of Sudeva Football Club 2-1 in the final round match of the Hero Youth League Elite match organised by All India Football Federation, played at Sports Authority of Goa ground, Utorda, on Thursday.
This match the referee A Arun Chakkaravarthi flashed out four red cards –three from Sudeva Football Club that is Sachin Jha keeper and Mohit Singh the defender, substitute midfielder T C Lallawmzualla in the 37th and 42nd and 89th minute and Precio Croydon D’Souza of FC Goa in the 90th minute.
Sudeva reduced to 8 men in the 42nd minute.
Just in the 4th minute FC Goa striker Joybert R Almeida long-range shot missed the target by whiskers.
Later in the 12th minute, Sudeva striker Raymond Touthang’s effort sailed over the bar.
It was Rayan Roger Menezes who opened the account for FC Goa with a free-kick in the 39th minute.
In the second half Swedenm Fernandes made it 2-0 in the 78th minute for FC Goa. Minutes later, Sudeva pulled a goal back through subsitute Vishal Gurunj.
