CURCHOREM: FC Godgal, Ambaulim won the 4th All Goa 9-a-side football tournament, organised by Tamdo family in association with Double Xtreme Youth of Copelabhat in memory of Sebastiao Fernandes (Tamdo) by defeating host Double Xtreme Youth, Deao-Quepem 1-0 at Bibegall ground, Ambaulim on Sunday.
At the fag end of the first half Dillarn Oliveira’s lone goal helped FC Godgal to clinch the title.
After resumption opponent Double Xtreme tried their level best to equalise but could not succeeded.
Godgal team pocketed Rs 25,000 with trophy and Deao had to be content with a purse of Rs 20,000 and trophy which was given to them at by chief guest Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar, deputy chief minister in the presence of QMC Councillor Paulo Fernandes, Ambaulim Sarpanch Jacinta Dias, Organising President William Fernandes, Club President Jaison Fernandes and Secretary Reison Fernandes.
