PANJIM: On the occasion of International Women’s Day celebrated on March 8, Goa Football Association will be organizing a day-long women football festival, at Duler stadium, Mapusa, from 10 a.m.
The programme is being organized to recognise, celebrate and promote the development of women football. The programme is in alignment with the All India Football Federation’s commitment to the development of the beautiful game among women, and will support the Asian Football Confederation’s celebration of the International Women’s Day across Asia.
The programme presents a wonderful opportunity for the Goa Football Association to renew its commitment to grow women’s football in Goa and draw up a long term agenda to continue women’s football development so as to take Goa back to the glory days when Goan women ruled the game in India on and off the field.
