CHANDOR: Fr. Agnelo Youth Sports Club, Paroda, got the better of Arlem Youth Association 5-3 via the tiebreaker to move into the semi-final of the 47th Chandor Seamen rolling trophy football tournament, at Chandor ground, on Saturday.
Daniel Gomes of Arlem and Xlyn Oliveira of Fr Agnelo were the stars of the match with their supplies to their teammates and scored goals..
Daniel Gomes opened the account for Arlem Youth Association in the ninth minute to put them ahead only to be nullified by Xlyn Oliveira of Fr Agnelo Youth Sports, Paroda, in the15th minute.
At half time, the score was one goal each. There was no score in the second half.
In the tie-breaker, Paroda team proved to be better shooters scoring all the four goals, through Kanchan Kiro, Cyril Dias, Joel Furtado and Drenzil Vaz. Only Velito Cruz and Jouston Barbosa were on target for Arlem Youth,
Fr. Agnelo goalkeeper Ravil Fernandes, who was eventually awarded as the man-of-the-match, stopped two of the penalties.
