MARGAO: Friends of Goa defeated Chennai Tiger 5-4 Invitational 11-a-side 50 plus veterans football tournament, organised by Verna Veterans, at Chowgule College Gogol Margao.
In the first half, Chennai Tiger scored two quick goals through captain Sunil.
Friends of Goa equalised as Eddie D’Silva scored a brace before the half-time break. In the second half, Oralik scored a hat-trick for Friends of Goa.
The winners and runners-up were awarded cash prizes and trophies which were given away by chief guest Balchandra Bandodkar. The player-of-the-tournament was presented to Eddie D’Silva of Friends of Goa.
