Gauri Warriors clinch T20 League title

The winners along with Goa Cricket Association President Mahesh Dessai, Vice-President Paresh Phadte, Betki-Khandola Sarpanch Dilip Naik, V Strikers Club President Praviraj Haldankar were present at the prize distribution function

PANJIM: Gauri Warriors emerged champions of the Imperial T20 League 2025 after defeating Shree Mahalasa Sanskrutik Mandal in the final of the leather-ball cricket tournament organised by V Strikers Sports Club, at the Shri Shantadurga Devasthan ground, opposite Government College, Khandola.
In the final, Gauri Warriors won the toss and elected to bat first, posting 139 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs. Prajesh Parab top-scored with 41 runs off 39 balls, while Ajay Phadte (24), Vishal Vernekar (18) and Hiru Naik (16) made useful contributions. For Shree Mahalasa Sanskrutik Mandal, Ramanand Satarkar returned impressive figures of 3 for 30, while Gauresh Sawant claimed 2 for 17.
In reply, Shree Mahalasa Sanskrutik Mandal were bowled out for 101 in 17.5 overs, despite Mohit Gaonkar’s fighting knock of 36 off 28 balls. The Gauri Warriors bowling attack was led by Avnish Gaonkar, who produced a match-winning spell of 6 for 8 in 3.1 overs, well supported by Utkarsh Gaonkar with figures of 3 for 25. Mahesh Dessai, president of the Goa Cricket Association (GCA), Paresh Phadte, vice-president, Dilip Naik, sarpanch of Betki-Khandola and Praviraj Haldankar, president of V Strikers Club were present at the prize distribution function.
Club De Sateri and Green Strikers were the semi-finalists of the tournament.
The prize distribution ceremony was conducted by Chetan Palkar.
