PANJIM: The Goa Football Association (GFA) condoled the death of Inacio Viegas, former State football player and coach who passed away on Friday following a heart attack at GMC Hospital.
Churchill Alemao, GFA president, in a condolence message, said Inacio’s contribution as a player first and football coach later with Sesa, Salcete, Salgaocar, Sao Jose Areal Bethany Convent School was commendable with his dedication and commitment for the beautiful game being praiseworthy.

Brahmanand Sankhwalkar, GFDC Chairman, in his condolence message stated that Inacio excelled as the SAG coach being hardworking and very diligent in his duties. He led by example giving his best at all times, he added.
Bruno Coutinho, Director of Coaching Sports (SAG), Anthony Pango GFA Vice President South Goa, Cosme Oliveira, GFA Executive Member, Joe Dias, Salcete FC President, Bernardinho Velho, Arnaldo Costa, former GFA Executive Committee member, Mr Lector Mascarenhas, GFDC member recalled that Inacio was a familiar face in Mormugao Zone, guiding football players in Baptist memorial and Bro Slattery football tournaments. He was very active, even participating in veterans tournaments.
