PANJIM: A full house Executive Committee meeting of the GFA was held to deliberate on the implementation of the Sports Code on Friday
The Committee decided to write to the committee of administrators of the AIFF appointed by the Supreme Court and the Union Sports Minister bringing to their notice the AIFF‘s letters which are contradicting one another over the implementation of the Sports Code.
GFA President Elvis Gomes placed the legal opinion in this regard and said that the opinion was in favour of the amendments as it was in line with the Government of India’s directive and the Delhi High Court observation thus effectively indicating that elections would not be held during the annual AGM this July.
