PANJIM: Goa Football Development Council (GFDC) which has 37 centres across Goa celebrated their fifth anniversary, at Aldona GFDC centre, on Saturday.
The State grassroots football development council successfully completed five years and have managed to make huge impact in the football scenario of Goa and take the development of this sport a notch higher.
“The council is meant to develop football, our state sport with focus on football training at the grassroots. We have 3,668 boy trainees and 1,056 girl trainees. At our various centres we provide the kids with football kits, nutrition, grassroots development and coaches. In the years to come this will contribute a lot to Goan football,” Chairman GFDC Dr Rufino Monteiro informed.
