St Stanislaus players were mostly from the Eklavya State Football Coaching Center, Gokhla, Jabalpur, Bihar, who have been training together for over four years.
However, the young Goan lads have been together only for the past four months and there was no looking back after Glevito gave them an early lead in the very first minute with a delightful finish after being cleverly set up by Jewel Fernandes. Glevito skilfully dribbled past two rival defenders and slotted past the rival keeper 1-0.
The Bihar team did equalize in the 15th minute through Rajkumar but Glevito scored for the second time in the 33rd minute. The striker from Ribandar beautifully headed in a fine cross by Jewel, who played an instrumental role with the second assist. Post resumption, the Goan youngsters played their hearts out to ensure full points. They will take on Madhya Pradesh in their next match, on Tuesday morning.
