MAPUSA: Goa showed tremendous team spirit as they clinched their second victory on the trot in a thriller where they defeated Kerala by two runs in a Sayed Mustaq Ali T-20 cricket tournament match (South Zone) at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, Wednesday.
Kerala won the toss and elected to field with Goa posting 149 for the fall of seven wickets. Sagun Kamat (55) and skipper Swapnil Asnodkar (64) were the only notable contributors while Goa’s middle order fell like a pack of cards. In reply, Kerala lost their first wicket on the second ball, thanks to Harshad Gadekar, who went on to clinch another two crucial wickets as Kerala fell short of two runs with three wickets in hand but no balls remaining. Amit Yadav and Darshan Misal picked up two wickets each for Goa.
