In view of giving the young boxers exposure training cum competition, the event was organized by the Goa Amateur Boxing Association.
Iswar Pujari (Goa) eased past his opponent in the A- 46kg category while Om Gauns (Goa) had to fight it out till the end in the A- 52kg category. Abutalib Khan (Goa) A-63kg and Rohit Bansi (Goa) A-66 won their bouts with ease. J Madhavan (TN) B-42kg showed composure winning his bout against Arun (Goa). Ashok Patil (Goa) displayed superb skill with straight punches to win his bout in the A-60 category and also win him the best boxer award.
S Prathos Pandian (TN) was adjourned the most promising boxer. Lenny Da Gama, vice-president of the Goa Amateur Boxing Association gave away the medals and trophies.
