PANJIM: Punjab defeated Goa to enter into the semifinals of the U-25 OD tournament of the BCCI played at Bangalore. At Alur Stadium – Punjab defeated Goa by 45 runs. Goa won the toss and opted to field. Punjab posted 235 for 9 in 50 overs before tottering at 159-7 at one stage.
For Punjab – Nehal Wadhera top scored with 46 runs which came in 55 balls. For Goa off-spinner Mohit Redkar was the successful bowler taking four wickets. Samit Aryan Mishra and Nihal Surlkar bagged 2 wickets each.

Goa in reply started their inning well and scored 46 runs in just 5.4 overs before Avishkar Mone was dismissed scoring 31 runs in just 19 balls with 5×4 and 1×6.
