PANJIM: The Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Panjim announced the State U-19 boys and girls netball teams for the 61st National School Games to be held from January 6 to 9, in New Delhi.
The teams were accorded an official farewell by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs in the presence of Director VM Prabhu Dessai, Assistant Director Anant Raut Dessai and Project Incharge Ashok Gouda, recently.
The playing kits were also distributed to the players and officials on the occasion.
The netball team leaves for New Delhi by train on Monday.
The boys team includes Manjunatha Gadiyar, Mangesh Pawar, Amey Phadte, Supresh Naik, Tejas Tawade, Saideep Naik, Nikhil Naik, G Sai Rohit, Nikhil Jagtap, Ashique Phadte, Pratik Naik and Sanmay Bandekar with Sandeep Shetkar as coach and managed by Pratish Naik.
The girls side is coached by Sameer Raikar and managed by Vaibhavi Naik. The players include Neetal Haldankar, Anisha Naik, Swapnam Dessai, Sharvari Naik, Udhavi Naik, Vridhi Sangaokar, Nikita Jambotkar, Mallika Rane, Megha Kadam, Vaidehi Naik, Jyoti Koli and Neha Vishwakarma.
