MARGAO: Host Goa rode on good scores by Regan Pinto’s (88) and Prathmesh Gawas (50) to reach 388 for seven and are just 31 runs behind from taking a vital first innings lead against Jammu and Kashmir on the penultimate day of the CK Nayudu cricket tournament, at BITS Pilani ground, Sancoale, on Wednesday.
Resuming overnight, Regan and Prathmesh stitched together and put up a modest score.
Gaurav Dessai (72 runs, 163 balls, 8×4) and Deepraj Gaonkar (94 runs, 157 balls, 18×4) added valuable 141 runs for the sixth wicket.
At the draw of stumps, Samar Dubashi and Amulya Pandrekar were at the crease with 25 and 26 runs respectively.
For Jammu and Kashmir pacer Rohit Sharma was the most successful bowler, taking three wickets while Sayed Muztaba Rizvi supported him well with two wickets.
