Leon Fernandes scored in the 17th minute to seal victory for Goa United Sports Academy as they defeated Anjuna Gymkhana 1-0 in GFA’s U-16 football at Poriat ground, Calangute on Thursday.
At Municipal ground, Dunes Sports Club hammered FC Sanquelim 21-0. The score was 10-0 at the breather.
United Club of Nerul thumped Saligao Sporting Club 12-0 at Dr Gustavo Monteiro stadium, Candolim.
Anson De Sousa netted four goals, Nar Bahadur Sonar scored three and Akshay Diukar scored a brace. Kinan D’Sousa, Raj Tendulkar and Lincoln Gonsalves also got their names on the score sheet.
In GFA’s Second Division at Tilak Maidan, Vasco, Benfica Youth Club defeated CAC, Cansaulim 2-1.
