Goa Velha in semis

Goa Velha Sports Club defeated Sodiem Siolim S.C. 1-0 to move into the semi-finals of the late V.M. Salgaoncar trophy football tournament organised by Saligao Sporting at Saligao ground, on Thursday.
The teams fought the match tooth and nail but could not find the net in the first half.
Changing over, Sodiem dominated the initial stages of the second half but could not convert their chances. Goa Velha were lucky to take the lead off a self-goal which came through a Sodiem defender.
