Goan FC thrash Corps of Signals

Krishna nets brace while Aaren and Pule score a goal each for the young Gaurs

DULER: Goan Football Club defeated Corps of Signals 4-0 in the Goa Professional League game organised by Goa Football Association (GFA), played at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, here on Sunday.
Both the teams playing under floodlights got off to a good start and began attacking and creating some chances up front. But it was the young Gaurs who were the first to look at goal as Krishna Pandit scored a neat goal in the 40th minute as the lone goal separated both teams at half time.
On resumption, The Gaurs began from where they had left as Krishna Pandit added his second of the day in the 53rd minute. The Corps side being two goals down had a couple of attempts to move into the box and score but a strong back line up of the Goan FC denied them any chances.
Aaren D’Silva made it 3-0 in favour of the Goan club in the 71st minute as L. Pule scored another making it 4-0. Two minutes later, as the Gaurs dominated the game mostly denying the Army side any goals and maintaining a clean sheet in the game.
