AMBELIM: New entrants Goan FC will lock horns with Guardian Angel Sports Club in the inaugural game of the Goa Sevens Premier League (GSPL) Season 2, organised by Ambelim Sports Club and Goa Sevens, in association with Goa Football Association, at Ambelim Sports Complex, on Saturday.
The second season will witness a total of 12 teams which will battle it out for top honour. This year’s edition will also play host to Women’s Festival simultaneously which will start from, April 29.
Clifford Miranda, coach of Goan FC said, “I’ve played this format last year and it is very interesting. The number of players is less but at the ends of the day football is football and we will continue with the same mentality. Our boys are new to this format but we will go ahead and try for all three points.”
