Goan trio in India U-14 camp

PANJIM: Aman Rajbhar, Jobern Cardozo and Stewart De Mello from Goa have been selected to attend trials for the U-14 India National team camp in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

PANJIM: Aman Rajbhar, Jobern Cardozo and Stewart De Mello from Goa have been selected to attend trials for the U-14 India National team camp in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
Aman Rajbhar is a standard eighth student of Government High School, Amona and trains with the GFDC Pre-Academy, North Goa.
Jobern Cardozo is also in the eighth standard of St Pius X School, Orlim. Jobern is a product of Salgaocar FC which recently won the GFA U-14 League.
Stewart De Mello is from St Rita High School, Maina-Curtorim and also studies in class eight. Stewart is part of the U-14 Dempo SC team.  
The three boys were part of the Goa Sub-Junior team that convincingly won the West Zone Round of the Sub-Junior National Football Championship held recently at Seoni, Madhya Pradesh. 
The final round of the Sub-Junior NFC begins on April 10 in New Delhi. Stewart was on a scoring rampage in the West Zone, scoring a total of eight goals in three matches which included a double hat-trick against Gujarat.
Aman scored a fine goal in a crucial match against Maharastra in the West Zone. Stewart and Aman were ably assisted with good passes from Jobern, who marshalled the midfield.
