MAPUSA: Goan Warriors, Tivim managed to squeeze past Cunchelim SC 2-1 to move ahead in the Anjuna Gymkhana Cup organised by Anjuna Gymkhana, at Anjuna Gymkhana ground, on Tuesday.
At half time Cunchelim SC led by a goal.
In the 20th minute, Cunchelim’s Nayan Virnodkars long range shot found the far corner of the net.
On crossing over, in the 43rd minute, Goan Warrior’s Jovian Conceicao shot hit the crossbar and entered the goal for the equaliser.
Two minutes later, Vishnu gave the lead for Goan Warriors when Satyam’s cross saw Vishnu Pawar tap the ball into the net to make it 2-1.
Cunchelim tried to find the qualiser but their strikers fumbled with the chances.
