AGENCIES, NAGPUR: Goa’s Tanisha Crasto is headed for double glory at the all-India sub-junior ranking badminton tournament which is underway at Nagpur, Maharashtra, on Saturday.
In Girls U-17 doubles, Tanisha along with her partner Aditi Bhatt (Uttarakhand) have entered into the final.
In the semis, they knocked out Tamil Nadu’s top seeded pairing of Gnanadha Karthikeyan / Varshini VS 21-12, 21-17.
Earlier, they defeated fourth seeds Priyanka Kanwal / Sneha Rajwar (Uttarakhand) 21-7, 21-14 in the quarter finals.
In U-17 mixed doubles event, Tanisha along with her partner Ishan Bhatnagar (Chhattisgarh) have moved into the semi-final.
In the pre-quarter final, they beat Gireesh Nayudu B (AP)/Aditi Verma (MP) 21-16, 21-3 followed up by a another impressive 21-13, 21-12 win over Siddhartha Mishra and Shruti Mishra (Uttar Pradesh) in the quarter-final.
