PANJIM: Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP has been appointed as the Project Management Unit (PMU) for the 37th National Games 2023 to assist SAG in the effective planning and organisation of the Games, according to Shashank V Thakur, joint secretary, Personnel Department.
As per the Government’s order, Deloitte shall ensure that the estimations of procurement of goods and services are prudent and as per the actual requirement. They shall ensure that such proposals are submitted to the Evaluation and Procurement Committee for evaluation, ownward submission to Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, who is also the SAG President.
Thakur stated that the Committee shall be responsible for ensuring that all codal formalities are observed in the process.
The Committee consists of Secretary Sports, Goa Government, Swetika Sachan, who is the CEO of National Games Organising Committee (NGOC), SAG’s Executive Director, Dr Geeta Nagvekar, who is the Joint CEO, NGOC; Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, Joint Director of Accounts SAG and any other member the Committee may require for carrying out its work effectively.

Some sports associations when contacted to find out if the equipment proposals for getting the necessary equipment for coaching camps had been granted, replied in the negative, but were positive that it would be cleared by SAG soon.
