PANJIM: St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa defeated Rosary College, Navelim 4-2 in the penalty shoot-out in the inaugural match of Goa University inter-collegiate hockey championship at Don Bosco ground, here, Monday. There was no score at full time.
In the other matches (men), Dempo defeated DM’s Assagao 5-2 in the tie-breaker, there being no score at full time.
Govt. College Quepem defeated Post Graduate, Goa University 4-0. Chowgule defeated Govt. College Khandola 2-0.
In women’s, Govt. College Qupem defeated Fr. Agnel, Pilar 2-0 in the tie-breaker as the teams were tied goalless at full time.
Govt. College Sanquelim defeated Govt. College Khandola 2-0 in the tie-breaker, there being no score at regular time.
