Govt to renovate Curti Sports Complex

To spend Rs 10.2 crore on development work which includes renovation of the sports complex and will also introduce new facilities at the complex

PONDA: Ponda MLA Ravi Naik along with Sports Authority of Goa Executive Engineer J Chimulkar and other executive Prakash Satarkar conducted a site inspection of the Curti Sports Complex, on Tuesday.
The sports complex neglected by the authorities concerned lacks various facilities, which Naik promised to solve on his visit at the site.
“The Sports Complex is lacking facilities and there were many complaints from sportsmen since past many years . The complex also lacks maintenance, hence Government would take 10. 20 crores development work, including renovation and introduction of new facilities at Sports Complex ground,” Naik said. 
It is learnt that development work includes laying of turf at ground, investing in better and modern sports equipment at gymkhana with proper lighting, improving the walking track and renovating swimming pool.
