PANJIM: Table Tennis Federation in league with 11 Even Sports, a Mumbai-based sports promotion company have entered into a long term agreement with an initial sponsorship of Rs 24 crores for 10 years, for the promotion of table tennis in India.
With the idea of broad basing talent, particularly at the grassroots level in the country all the State associations will be conducting an annual Inter-School Table Tennis championship for all boards.
The Goa Table Tennis Association (GTTA) will be conducting the championship of all boards on November 9 and 10 at the SAG Indoor sports complex, Campal.
The State winning team will be participating at the National Inter-School championship to be held at Indore on December 9 and 10.
The team championship will be conducted in the following categories: Boys studying in class five, six and seven together in one team. Similarly, girl’s studying in standard five, six and seven, boys studying in eighth, ninth and 10th and girls studying in class eight, nine and 10.
The championship will be organized in collaboration with Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs. Entries should be submitted to Vishnu Kolwalkar on or before November 7.
