RAIA: Guardian Angel Sports Club downed Varca Sports Club 3-0 to move into the quarter-finals of 49th edition of Chandor Seamen Rolling Trophy football tournament played at Chandor ground, on Thursday.
The tournament got off to a start in the presence of a large holiday crowd.

The Guardian Angel Sports Club meant business from the start of the match and opened the account in the 6th minute through Adrriano Gomes.
The Varca SC tried to put up valiant fight but were outplayed by determined Guardian Angel SC in every department of the game.
Jaison tapped the ball into the Varca SC goal of a long pass from compatriot in the 16th minute. The Varca SC nearly scored but lacked services of sharp shooters.
There was no looking back for Guardian Angel SC as Benzo Clemente netted the third goal to lead 3-0 at lemon break.
The second half was lacklustre and the match was evenly matched, Varca SC tried their best to pull at least one back.
Lector Mascarenhas, former international footballer and former secretary of Goa Football Association, was the chief the chief guest. Chandor Parish Priest Fr Jean Da Cruz Fernandes presided. Benzo Clemente was awarded the match-of-the-match.
