The teams started off attackingly but it was Guardian Angel SC who controlled the proceedings.
Former India international Anthony Pereira sent in a fine through ball to Meclon Colaco but the latter could not finish after rounding off rival custodian Mohamad Shaikh.
Subsequently, Guardian Angel SC surged ahead in the 18th minute as the rival defence failed to clear the ball after a cross from Austern Fernandes. Lurking Rogef Colaco got on to the loose ball and unleashed a powerful left-footer past hapless Shaikh.
As the match progressed, the Riston Rodrigues coached outfit had two glorious opportunities but both, Meclon and Rogef failed to capitalize.
At the other end, Curtorim Gymkhana were trying hard to make a comeback but could create openings. Allwyn Dias’ powerful header was saved by keeper Rajiv Miryala while Xavier Dias’ rasping out of the box drive sailed over.
Post resumption, Curtorim Gymkhana started brightly but it all came crashing down in the 56th minute when Sunny Fernandes made it 2-0 with a venomous long ranger.
Guardian Angel introduced Estevan Mendes in place of Rogef and the Sesa FA graduate got into action immediately by sending in a precise cross from the right flank which was nodded in from close by substitute Melvito Fernandes.
Estevan got involved once again as he found Melvito inside the danger zone. However, keeper Shaikh did well to block Melvito’s effort but the ball fell back to Djourou Isaac Ouedji and the medio headed in for Guardian Angel’s fourth goal.
In the 79th minute, Curtorim Gymkhana finally scored as Xavier beautifully curled in the ball to the top corner.
