FATORDA: Gurnners defeated Enformers 2-1 in the Goa Futsal Men’s match held at Futsal court, Fatorda on Sunday.
Jasper Pereira and Dillion DeSouza netted a goal each for Gurnners in the 17 th minute and 20th minute respectively. Denis Cabral of Enformers scored in the 5th minute.
In the second match, AK 5 clinched a last minute miracle to pull down the spirited United Brothers. This tough match began with swift moves from either side. Soon after Clinton Pacheco scored for AK 5, Trijoy Dias gave a fitting response for United Brothers in the very same minute keeping the tally to 1-1 at the 9th minute. While both teams maintained an even contest, Scilachie Cardoso took advantage of the little extra space to convert at the 19th minute to ensure the victory for AK 5, at 2-1.
