GVM beat Dempo

GVM’s College, Ponda beat S S Dempo College, Panjim by 4 wickets and entered the second round of inter-college cricket championship.
Dempo won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 157 for 5 in 20 overs. Govind Kundagiri was the top scorer with 55. Suyog Chowgule (47), Anish Shet (14) and Atul Kankonkar (13). Vashist Bhati 2-23, Pratik Prabhu 1-19 and Vikrant Prabhu (1-31).
GVM’s College scored the required runs in 19 overs with 4 wickets in hand. Amey Sawant scored 63 not-out. Sarvesh Dhargalkar (20), Vikrant Prabhu (16) and Vishwajeet Phadte (14) contributed to their victory. Khwaja Attar took 2 wickets for 25 runs, Sameer and Govind 1 each.
