MARGAO: ICSC Paroda Sports Club blanked St Anthony Sports Club, Colva 3-1 to book their place into the semi-finals of Varca Panchayat Cup football tournament organized by Varca Sports Club, on Friday.
ICSC Paroda were leading 1-0 at half time.
ICSC Paroda took the lead in the 25th minute when Sezvin Fernandes netted home with a perfect grounder giving no chance to Danzil Dias of St Anthony SC.
In the second half, Manesh Oliveira doubled the lead for ICSC Paroda in the 45th minute. Five minutes later, Micky Vaz dribbled past three players and scored the third goal.
St Anthony SC reduced the margin when a corner kick taken by Clifford Fernandes was headed in by Maxson Fernandes giving no chance for Rasal Fernandes.
Micky was adjudged the man-of-the-match award.
