Cyril Dias scored the first goal for Paroda in the 10th minute by beating the offside trap. In the 24th minute a long throw in by Staunton D’Costa was failed to clear by the Guirdolim defence and landed at the feet of Jason Dias, whose powerful volley gave no chance to the otherwise agile Guirdolim goalkeeper.
In the 40th minute Melroy Moura of Guirdolim pulled one goal back taking advantage of a goalmouth melee.
Thereafter Guirdolim were reduced to 10 men in the 45th minute when Sevaraj D’costa was shown the second yellow card.
Guirdolim tried hard to equalise but the Paroda defence kept them at bay.
Sucour Colaco of Paroda was denied a goal by Guirdolim keeper Jimmy Cardoso in a one-on-on situation in the 60th minute. ICSC Paroda now wait the winners of Don Bosco and Navelim Sporting Club in the semi-final to be played on October 30.
